Panorama India invites you to participate in INCREDIBLE INDIA - A Celebration to be held on August 10th, 2008 at Yonge & Dundas Square(across from the Eaton Centre in downtown Toronto). With the support of the Consul General of India we will be celebrating India's 61st Independence Day. The festivities will begin with a 2 KM parade through the streets of downtown Toronto, and will culminate in a day long festival of music, dance, food and fun.
The Parade will include colourfully decorated floats and the long procession with drums, dance and representation of the various states of India. The celebrations include participation from several Indo-Canadian organizations. Together, we showcase our "UNITY IN DIVERSITY".
Judging by last year's overwhelming response from the Indo-Canadian and other communities, we believe this year will also be a tremendous success.
This year the flag hoisting ceremony will take place at 10.30 a.m. Soon after, the parade will leave Yonge & Dundas Square. Registration for groups participating in in the parade will begin from 9.30 am onwards at the Panorama India booth (located on the left hand side of the stage)
Our entertainment programme will commence at 12.00 pm onwards.
Indian Ocean - a renowned fusion group from India will be performing after all our cultural groups have performed.
